First, music history for July 13th.

Today in 1963 The Rolling Stones played their first ever gig outside London when they appeared at The Alcove Club, Middlesbrough, Yorkshire supporting The Hollies.

The following year, The Animals went to No.1 on the UK singles chart with “The House Of The Rising Sun.” Recorded in one take, this was the first UK No.1 to clock a play time of over four minutes.

Today is part one of my chat with Bill Moore. Bill Moore is the president of Consumer Products, MD Consumer Products, MD is a multichannel brand development and monetization agency. It serves the consumer products (CPG) and entertainment industries.

Bill gives us valuable insight on the monetization and marketing of music. As well, the misconceptions artists hold that hold them back.

Shay is a publicist and curator for a UK indie platform. She covers artists of all genres, from around the globe. She provides popular music content for an NYC content firm. Additionally, she writes for music, literary, and foodie blogs. Shay’s blog, thebuzzr, promotes independent artists. Feedspot recognized the blog in its 2020 Top 20 Music Marketing blogs. When not writing, through The Buzz Roll Media™ and What's Our Buzz she promotes podcasts, independent artists, bands and venues. For most of her story, she was a big city lady.
