Hey, y’all, I am Shay, and this is thebuzzr after hours show. Fun fact. I live in the country where allergy season is blasting. Forgive in advance the sexy raspy voice, lol. 🙂 

Welcome. Episode 20.

It is buzzPLAY night. A night all about independent music. Music has no genre. We look at the artist and talent. Every music style from classical to pop to alt-rock and screaming punk grunge we play on this show.

Who wants to live in a box?

Tonight we will enjoy the music, attitude and spirit of incredible independent artists. Each is making their way to the top of charts in their chosen style. We hear gospel, Americana, acoustic, alt-pop, indie pop, alt-rock & classic rock releases tonight.

Our stops are Canada, the United States, Australia, France, Ireland and the United Kingdom.

So pour yourself a glass of wine, top up your tea or light a smoke and enjoy the show!

To kick the night into gear, kicking band The Powergoats out of Ottawa, Canada with “Bowl ‘N Pin” released May 21. The track is part of the upcoming fourth studio album The Powergoats In 3D to be released in October 2021.

Frontman Jamie Douglas joins thebuzzr podcast on July 5th. Be sure to listen and get to know this talented band out of Canada’s national capital city.

First up, we hear a track by The Great Leslie, out of London, United Kingdom. “That’s Alright” is a June 18th release, and the band put out a banger.

Next up, Joon Moon’s “Feel It” featuring Liz Warfield . Released May 28, this soulful R&B gospel track kicks up your energy and fills you with soul.

Joon Moon is in Paris, France. “Feel it” is the new single for Joon Moon’s upcoming album Chrysalis, featuring ex-NPG and Prince Protégée Liv Warfield. Gives me chills. Love it!

Out of Dublin, Ireland – Davie Furey,“Spaces Full” from the Haunted Streets album was released this year. We listen to it next. “Spaces Full” released June 2, 2021.

Now we spin “Mad At Me” by Jesse Grossi out of Los Angeles, United States. “Mad At Me” released June 5. Mad at Me is a fun, California groove Rock-Reggae, Ska-Punk, Indie Rock song with harmonious vocals and melodies.

From the artist – “Mad at Me” is about some of the reckless decisions I’ve made and how everyone is just always mad at me. The video put out with this release is great! Check it out on YouTube.

Sometimes the end of a love relationship is like the dropping of a bomb. That ultimate decision to let go of the pain, all that is broken and lost and move forward.

Los Angeles artist Baywud released an alt pop single “Bombs Away” is written above these endings. Listeners, “Bombs Away”.

“Bombs Away”  was written with and produced by Rune Westberg, who also played guitar, drums and bass and on the song. BAYWUD will release a new song every five weeks until his album comes out on October 15, 2021. 

San Francisco artist Jared Harper “All For Me” released May 14. The track is heavy with his vintage guitar tone influences. The artist’s vocals are reminiscent of the 60s psych-pop bands.

Next spin is John Revelle’s “This Bird Has Flown” from It Was Always Too Late. John’s debut EP released June 4th 2021

John Revelle is an artist from London, United Kingdom who currently is in his native country Norway. They mixed the EP at Nashville’s legendary RCA Studio A and Laurel Canyon reverie, where backing vocals soar, Hammond organs purr and banjos lilt.
